Andrea is a partner at Gall specializing in employment and regulatory law. She advises on both Hong Kong and English law.

Andrea has significant and extensive experience in high profile complex litigation, including multi-jurisdictional disputes. She undertakes all types of employment law work, advising on all aspects of the employment relationship including: advising on claims for breach of contract, wrongful termination, unlawful dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and bonus disputes. She also negotiates and manages post termination restrictive covenants and team moves.

On the non-contentious side, Andrea regularly advises and drafts employment contracts, staff handbooks, bonuses and LTIPs clauses, restrictive covenants and separation (compromise) agreements.

The focus of Andrea’s regulatory practice is representing individuals who are the subject of internal investigations and/or external regulators including HKMA, SFC and/or police investigations. Andrea advises individuals on behaviour that questions whether approved persons are “fit and proper”.

Prior to joining Gall, Andrea worked at Ferguson Solicitors LLP (now Spring Ferguson), a boutique London firm specialising in Employment Law.

Andrea is recognized as a top tier employment lawyer in the major legal guides. She is named as a Recommended Lawyer in Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Asialaw Profiles and The Doyle’s Guide to Leading Hong Kong Employment Lawyers in the 2017 and 2018 guides.

In 2017 Andrea also received nominations for “Woman Lawyer of the Year” (ALB Hong Kong Law Awards), “Best in Labour & Employment, Hong Kong” (Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law) and “Employment Lawyer of the Year” (The Asia Legal Awards 2017 by The Asian Lawyer in association with Legal Week, China Law & Practice and The American Lawyer).
